Birthday Parties
The Artful Mind is happy to host birthday parties for children ages 5-12, in groups of any size, up to 10 max. The birthday child chooses the party's artsy craft from a varied selection that includes "make and take" projects such as mini paintings, silk painting, jewelry making, stuffed critters called "Hugglies", and more. A clay project is also an option. The children mold their piece using moist earthenware and apply colors to decorate. The pieces are fired then re-fired with a gloss glaze and are ready to be picked up at a later date.
Prices vary, most are $15 per child. A $75 minimum charge is required as a deposit to guarantee the party date and time, the balance due on the day of the party is dependent on how many children actually show up. For example, a $15 project is chosen, 8 children attend the party, $45 is the balance due.
Price includes a balloon for each child, tablecloths, decorations, and all craft materials. Parents provide the food and drink along with any paper goods needed.
All children present at The Artful Mind during the party are counted as guests and expected to participate. Again, the maximum group size is 10. Parents, other than the birthday child's, may drop off and pick up when the party is over. Parties typically last 1.5-2 hours.
No child under the age of 3 should be in attendance at The Artful Mind.
